A mobile bar service that travels to events. The work was a public site plus the intake behind it.
The problem it solved
Enquiries arrived in several places and got answered whenever someone next looked. For an events business that is expensive in a specific way: people booking a wedding or a party are contacting several suppliers on the same afternoon, and the first useful reply tends to win.
What got automated
Capture and routing, so an enquiry lands in one place immediately rather than in whichever inbox it happened to reach. And the site itself, so the owner can change her own copy and photographs without asking anyone.
That second part matters more than it sounds. A site the owner cannot edit slowly stops being true.
What deliberately did not
The reply, and the price. Both are judgement calls that depend on the date, the venue and the guest count, and a wrong answer sent quickly is worse than a right answer sent in an hour.
What I would tell someone building this
The valuable automation was unglamorous. Not an AI answering enquiries — just making sure none of them waited, and that the owner could keep her own shop window current. Speed to first reply did more than anything clever would have.
